In a world of quick wins and fleeting headlines, long-term commitment is something worth celebrating. At Mandurah Wildlife, we’re proud to acknowledge the enduring support of Alcoa—support that’s been steadfast, practical, and profoundly impactful.

For over 15 years, Alcoa has stood beside our Centre—not for photo ops or PR points, but with real, hands-on, consistent backing. As a Platinum Sponsor, their annual contributions have helped us feed, medicate, and rehabilitate hundreds of injured and orphaned native animals each year. That kind of reliability? It’s rare. And we don’t take it for granted.

But their support goes far beyond funding.

Alcoa team members have regularly joined us onsite for Busy Bee days—picking up paintbrushes, drills, and wheelbarrows to help maintain and improve the very spaces our animals recover in. Whether it’s repairing enclosures, building infrastructure, or simply showing up—these moments of action have become woven into our story.

“Support like this gives us breathing room,” says Jo Evans, Centre Manager. “It means we can focus on what matters—healing animals, training volunteers, educating the public—without constantly worrying about the next bag of formula or vet bill.” (Let me know if you’d prefer to leave this quote out.)

In an increasingly uncertain world, this kind of partnership reminds us of what genuine local collaboration looks like: humble, dependable, and quietly transformative.

To Alcoa, we say thank you—not just for what you give, but for how you give it. With consistency. With heart. And always with the wellbeing of our wildlife front and centre.
